I am in the front pew. Crying most likely. An interesting twist though. I was turned on to Joni by a boyfriend. He didn’t last but she and I are forever.

Wow thanks for this interesting perspective. I never thought of Joni in this way before, so deeply. I only think of what she is and has attained, not what she felt lacking or those who didn’t like or appreciate her. I do know when I used to present jazz concerts, a young woman played all Joni songs. And we were packed. Women who attested to her being their salvation when young. I had no idea! Now I am often accused of looking like Joni Mitchell (long grey hair and beret I’m told) and while I can see it and might be flattered??? I don’t necessarily want to be a “throw back.” Yes, still hairy and braless, I have never been so -what was your word I took as being whiny? lol. More radical and less fear with age I guess. I enjoy this freedom.
